“I Can Do It That Way” or Is It Always Easy to Write What Seems Easy at First Sight? 🤔
A few facts about the “Black Square”:
🔳 “Black Square” is not a square. It is true: neither side of this quadrangle is parallel one other side of it.
🔳 2 more pictures are hidden under the black square.
🔳 "Black Square" - written by hand, without a ruler. Malevich wanted to show statics (a square in general is a symbol of stability, stability), but did not bring it to the ideal.
🔳 square (cross and circle, they were in the triptych) - this is a protest against the limitations of creativity. Refusal of academic dogma, pleasing the public, fashion, traditions.
🔳 There are 4 versions of the black square. And Malevich himself wrote them. The first square was painted in 1915.
🔳 Malevich presented the painting at the exhibition and hung it in the red corner, since he considered his work to be the highest art and treated it like an icon. 🖤
Beautiful painting.
