Long COVID, a new terminology in the medical sector which became popular after starting of this pandemic. So far it is seen in the adults. But, some recent researches or studies show that the symptoms of long COVID are prevalent among the children as well.
Some of the coronavirus recovered patients suffer unusually for a longer periods, with one or more of the symptoms he/she suffered from during the actual illness, despite the clearance of the virus from the body. It is called as long COVID.
According to a recent research, around 50% of the children had at least one symptoms after 4 weeks of the illness. A little less than 25% of the recovered children had 3 or more symptoms lasted more than 4 weeks. The notable long COVID symptoms are brain fog, extreme fatigued, loss of smell and taste etc.
